Sopas na Mais (Corn Soup)

Ingredients:
2 cups of grated fresh corn kernels
½ cup malunggay leaves (chilli pepper or bitter melon leaves can be used as alternative)
1 tablespoon cooking oil
3 cups water
Patis for seasoning
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 piece sliced onion
Patis (fish sauce) for seasoning

Procedure:
1. In casserole, sauté garlic and onions.
2. Add 3 cups of water and corn kernels. Put into boiling then lower fire and simmer for 30 minutes.
3. Add patis to taste.
4. Finally, add malunggay leaves ad keep it simmering for 30 seconds .
5. Serve hot.

NOTE: You may add a cornstarch dissolved in lukewarm water and beat an egg if you want the soup to be more creamer.
