Ingredients:
½ kilo pork including its fats (cut into about half inch cubes)
½ kilo pork liver (cut into about half inch cubes)
5 pcs ripe tomatoes (chopped)
2 pcs potatoes (cut into about half inch cubes)
1 pc carrot ( cut about half inch cubes)
1 bulb red onion (sliced)
4 cloves garlic (chopped)
1~2 cup water
3 tablespoon cooking oil
1 tablespoon asuete seeds
Fish sauce (patis) for seasoning
Procedure:
1. In a pan, sauté garlic, onions and tomatoes
2. Add pork and stir fry for about a minute.
3. Add water just enough to cover the meat and put it into boiling. Reduce heat and simmer until pork becomes tender.
4. While simmering, extract the color of asuete seeds. Put the asuete seed on a cup. Fill the cup, at least ½ cup, with hot water. Beat using pork so that the color will be released. Filter the liquid then pour it into the pan.
5. Add liver, carrots and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
6. Season with fish sauce according to taste.
7. Serve hot.
